Hey, I'm Charlie 🤍
I was born in Germany and left home at 19 with a backpack and a one-way ticket.
What was meant to be a short adventure turned into almost ten years of travelling. I spent most of that time exploring Asia, Australia later Central and South America, and parts of Europe along the way.
Towards the end of those travels, I met my husband. We lived together in Lombok and Bali for a few years, got married there, and eventually found our way to the Gold Coast, where we're now raising our little family.
Before motherhood, I wore a lot of different hats. I trained as a paramedic, worked as a yoga instructor, spent time acting, chased waves whenever I could, and always found myself curious about people and their stories.
These days, life looks very different.
It's me, my husband, my daughter Bailey, and another little one on the way (hello two under two), navigating motherhood one season at a time and figuring it out as we go.
I'm also ADHD, which explains a lot. The endless ideas, the changing interests, the tendency to start ten projects at once, and the constant search for systems that make life feel a little simpler.
Writing has always been something I've come back to.
This blog became a place to document the experiences that have shaped me most — pregnancy, birth, postpartum, motherhood, wellbeing, home, and all the messy, beautiful moments in between.
Not because I have all the answers.
But because some of the most helpful things I've ever read were honest stories from women who shared what life looked like behind the scenes.
If you've found your way here, I hope you'll find something that makes you feel seen, inspired, informed, or simply a little less alone.
I'm really glad you're here.
Happy reading 🤍
Charlie
